He has over 40 years of experience building wine cellars and will make sure that your desires for a wine room are executed in the most efficient and beautiful way possible. Be prepared with an idea of your room's measurements and your general budget. This call doesn't normally take over 30 minutes.

If you would like to move further and choose Savante to build your cellar, we will then draw up a preliminary sketch of what you discussed over the phone. Often times we will draw up a few options and be able to give you an estimated cost of your wine room before the real drawings are created. We've built in a turning point here in our process so we can be conscious of our time and yours. If the budget and sketch is not what you had in mind, no hard feelings and not much time wasted on either side. This part doesn't take more than a couple of days.

After approving the preliminary sketches we can begin the first round of drawings. We will have you sign some paperwork and then discuss your project with our draftsman to proceed. They will as well create a corresponding material list and project calendar with your drawings to better understand a more accurate total cost. The first round of drawings is a flat fee of $250 but we will do up to 4 revisions for $50 each. This part can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks depending on the number of revisions.

When the final round of drawings in approved and no further revisions are needed, we will start building. We order any necessary materials and supplies we don't already have in stock and begin sanding, steam-bending, drilling, sawing, routing and measuring. We manufacture all the pieces from racking, cabinetry, diamonds and molding right in our own shop to ensure the highest quality and consistency. You will be sent periodic updates with pictures of the current status of your build so can see your wine cellar come to life one piece at a time. Depending on your room size and complexity the manufacturing process can take 6-10 weeks.

When your wine cellar is complete we'll set a date convenient for you and bring the wine cellar to you in large pieces. We always install your wine cellar personally to make sure the finished room is to our standards. Depending on the size of your room and your schedule this could take a couple visits to assemble the racks, cabinetry, and all the details like your light fixtures, molding, door and flooring. We also realize that there may be more than one subcontractor involved in the process and can easily work around everyone's schedule and priorities. Every installation process is different but this part typically takes 1-3 weeks.
